Experienced Scientific Researcher Joins Advaxis To Advance Development Of Cancer Vaccines

North Brunswick, NJ � February 13, 2006 -- Advaxis, Inc. (OTCBB: ADXS) today announced that Anu Wallecha, Ph.D has joined the scientific development team, and will be responsible for the advancement and development of the Lovaxin family of vaccines. Dr. Wallecha will work under the direction of Dr. Vafa Shahabi, Director of Research and Development, at the Advaxis laboratories in North Brunswick, New Jersey. Dr. Wallecha�s vast experience with the Listeria system affords Advaxis the ability to both rapidly advance existing targets as well as develop yet unannounced clinical targets. Dr. Wallecha�s expertise also expands Advaxis� ability to collaborate with potential partners.

As a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine Department of Microbiology , Dr. Wallecha has been working alongside Dr. Yvonne Paterson, the inventor of Advaxis� vaccine technology, on an attenuated recombinant Listeria monocyogenes vaccine for HIV, as well as on certain aspects of Advaxis� Lovaxin T, its Telomerase-based cancer vaccine since 2004. Previously, Dr. Wallecha worked at the University of Pennsylvania with Dr. Marjan Van Woude on the regulation of the expression of an outer membrane protein, agn43 in Escherichia coli. Dr. Wallecha has co-authored several research papers that have appeared in the Journal of Bacteriology. She holds a Ph. D. from the Department of Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology, Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India.
