Clinical Development
Lovaxin B
Breast Cancer/Melanoma
Her/2-neu is over expressed in various cancers such as breast (40%), melanoma (30%), pancreatic (20%), ovarian (30%) & gastric (19%). Advaxis has recently achieved a proof of concept by constructing vectors that express overlapping fragments of the rat version of this molecule (about 1,000 residues) on the same highly attenuated Listeria background. Advaxis was excited to find that all of these constructs will stop the growth of a transplanted tumor in syngeneic mice, most of these constructs are effective in treating transgenic animals. Advaxis will continue to pursue toxicology studies with Lovaxin B and will seek to begin a Phase I study in breast cancer patients in year 2008.
