Prostate Cancer
Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) is the basis of the common blood test used to indicate the presence of prostate cancer. It is an antigen that is currently being used by many companies in the development of prostate specific therapies. A Listeria construct containing a PSA-LLO fusion protein is in development, and has been shown to be very stable. Preliminary tests have revealed that Advaxis Listeria based PSA construct is effective in treating prostate tumors in animal models.
Advaxis plans to initiate a Phase I/II clinical study in Prostate cancer in 2007.
