J. Todd Derbin Joins Advaxis, Inc as President and CEO
Paoli, PA - Advaxis, Inc.'s Board of Directors has appointed J. Todd Derbin to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer, effective November 1, 2002.
Previously, he founded Micrus Corporation, the market leader in the design and development of highly differentiated and proprietary interventional neuroradiology devices and delivery systems, in 1996, where he held the positions of Chairman, President and CEO.
From 1992 until leaving to found Micrus, he served as Director of Corporate Business Development, Commercial Director - Cardiovascular and Director of Strategic Planning, Mergers & Acquisitions with Biocompatibles International, plc, a UK biotechnology/biomedical company.
Prior to this Mr. Derbin was CEO of Syncare Corporation, developers of synthetic wound care products and drug delivery systems. His 20-tenure in life sciences includes senior management, strategic and operational positions with CollaTec, Inc., a subsidiary of Marion Merrell Dow, and American Medical Products Corporation's domestic and international divisions. He began his career at Procter & Gamble and American Hospital Supply Corporation (Baxter) where he held marketing positions.
Mr. Derbin is an alumnus of Wilkes College and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
